Nov. 2 (Bloomberg) -- A European Commission plan to outlaw use of the word ``wine'' in connection with apples and other fruit, and to define wine as a product made exclusively from grapes, is causing outrage among residents of Frankfurt, where apple wine has been drunk for centuries, the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung reported.
